Scrounging for scraps at the bottom of the food chain
Pros
Flexible hours. Independence. They offer benefits for part timers (Not very good ones though)
Cons
Acosta is a VERY independent job. Problem with the independence is that if you have a problem with your job out in the field there is no help from management to problem solve. They tell you to call the help center which in turn tells you to write an email to your boss. The run around is pointless. Also, good luck getting a raise! Granted, Acosta is one of the highest starting out pays for Sales and Marketing companies but whatever you make is what you will always make. Personally I have been there for five years and even though every year I get a great review I don't see an extra dime! When bringing this up in company meetings the response is always "at least you have a job". Needless to say my desire to do well at my job has been officially broken. I have also gone through eight bosses since I have been here. Oh! And I forgot, they don't train and I mean at all! They just throw you out there. If you don't work well on your own don't take this job!
