Pros

- Interesting work for some very good brands in multiple industries and with leading technologies - nice mix of creative and technology professionals - younger professionals can still learn a lot from type of work and peers, but there are better work cultures and benefits available to them elsewhere

Cons

No corporate culture or strategy; poor career development. Sub-standard benefits. Poor corporate communications. One of the least diverse places to work. Processes and tools are still very immature, making day-to-day ops very manual and difficult. Little is invested back into the company or employee development; it's all about new revenue. Executives are not incented nor held accountable for employee engagement, morale and development. Bonuses are based only on sales, sales, sales. Very difficult to staff projects effectively with the right skills and hit target margins; lots of dependence on sub-contractors

Pros

Very entrepreneurial environment. Great for go getters and young consultants with nothing but time. Salaries are fairly generous. Great client names for the resume. Great location in downtown Chicago.

Cons

No real continuing education budget - you learn on your own if you have time. They'll work you like a dog if you allow it. Cryptic corporate communication. Bonus structure convoluted and weighted heavily on company performance rather than individual performance. Projects deemed "meaningful" get the glory while most are virtually ignored. Too many intellectuals lacking management skills. Way too many VP's. Promotions based on insane hours worked or sales numbers. Company promotes and praises managers that have made people quit. Ridiculous executive business decisions have put great teams in toxic work environments for extended periods of time.

Pros

Great people. Nice offices. If you think it, Acquity can build it. Great dev resources. Smart people.

Cons

Utilization business model means you must be 85% deployed at all costs. It also means not being able to build relationships with clients for repeat business. If your office does not have projects you are traveling to other offices to work on those projects. So 40% travel, at least. No office perks. Project based accounts, so no AOR which means constantly pitching. Quick churn and burn turnaround times. I met one dev who had been on the road for 9 years.
