Pros
The main benefits the company brings are that it's a starting point to get into the IT field and the people and middle management aren't completely horrible. The building isn't too bad though the second floor of the building has been unused for close to 20 years and is used for nothing but storage.
Cons
The company overall continues its slow decline due to incompetent managing by the upper management. Contracts are taken that the company is not fully capable of supporting right off the bat which means that there's then a bunch of scrambling as the company attempts to not fall on its face and even then the contracts are often underbid which is also what leads into another big problem. Just about everyone (except upper management I assume who probably give themselves bonuses for doing a terrible job) has gone TWO YEARS with no raises. For all we know we'll see another doom and gloom e-mail right before Thanksgiving this year by the CFO which more or less tells us to expect to go THREE YEARS without raises. Even if the company doesn't attempt to screw its so call 'team' for a third year in a row and actually give raises this time I have a feeling it'll end up being some paltry amount like 5 or 10 cents which doesn't come close to keeping up with inflation or make up for the past 2 years. We constantly are told the company is struggling with money but it has at least managed to snag one good contract this year that it's so far not managed to screw up and has cut a lot of fat this year with a superfluous Director being cut along with a few other overpaid people so there's really no excuse for people to continue to go with no raises besides greed by the senior management. The company used to at least pay for certs but now only will pay if you pass and even then will string you along for months hoping you forget all about that promise. Overall morale is low due to these things and the company has done little to improve it. Those perks you see in the other reviews like clam bakes and Cedar Point? Those have been dropped for the past 2 years with the most we got this entire year being some hot dogs. There's a good reason why all those pictures in the album end in 2016. You're better off only working here to use it as a jumping point to go elsewhere in the IT field (pretty common in the NOC's revolving door) as you'll find no sense of appreciation here and zero ability to actually advance your career.
