Pros

As a government contractor, your learning curve is steep in the first couple of years.

Cons

The senior management are sitting there for years, and manages this company as a grocery store. They just try to save themselves by throwing mid or junior level staffs under the bus. Benefits and compensation are not at par. Micromanaging is a serious issue, especially with the research teams.

Pros

If you join a strong team, you'll feel well-supported. Opportunity to collaborate with CMS officials.

Cons

Toxic Work Environment: Certain teams, such as Fraud, and Part D, are known for excessive micromanagement and unprofessional behavior from upper management, creating a difficult and high-pressure atmosphere. However, teams like Data Operations, and Patient Safety are recognized for their supportive leadership. Management Issues: Leadership lacks consistency and preparedness, with many managers promoted despite minimal management training. This results in confusion, ineffective leadership, and frequent micromanagement. Additionally, some managers take credit for their employees' work. Job Stability Concerns: The company has engaged in overhiring in recent years, followed by mass layoffs. In 2024, many employees were laid off with little warning and minimal severance.
