PTO accrual is slow, and you only get 3 paid sick days in a year. If you have any serious illness, family emergencies, weddings/funerals, you likely won't be able to take a paid vacation for a few years.
How good of a day you have is significantly dependent on the Scheduling Agent you get. Poorly organized routes, not adhering to account/scheduling notes, and a lack of understanding (Agents are largely hired from rural areas, and have little to no familiarity with city traffic patterns; they also can be very out of touch with the duties technicians actually perform) make some technicians jobs miserable.
