Pros

I like working with my coworkers, the environment is peaceful. The Commissions help out a lot with finances. Just wish there was more incentives since we don't get raises like most places do.

Cons

Their Subscription pricings, too many and causes conflicts with customers.

Pros

I like the people I work with. I like what I am able to work on for the community. I think its important we feel comfortable telling our supervisors that we are overwhelmed and I do feel I can tell my direct supervisor and he will take action to help me how he can.

Cons

I definitely think remote/hybrid is something the company should offer. More pay for its employees.

Pros

I value the people I work with. They are a good group of people and hard working. I also value my ability to be flexible with my work hours. It affords me the opportunity to get the stories I need in a timely fashion.

Cons

As a smaller newspaper in the group, I feel too much has been taken away from the local office and consolidated in another office far away. This creates issues when we try to get something done in the local office. We have no clear chain of command and are unsure of who to contact about certain issues, and when we do reach out for help, we are usually met with reluctance and often berated for not knowing who to contact. I also think 37.5 hours for full-time hourly is weird; why not just work 40 hours?
