Pros

Flexible working environment. Could come and go as you please. Great if you're self motivated.

Cons

A very average experience. The employees try hard, but aren't the brightest.

We really appreciate the positive comments that you had to say about our company and our culture here at Addison. The work hard/play hard attitude is something that we pride ourselves on and have for a long time. Our management tries their best to give all our employees independence and autonomy, as long as they are meeting and/or exceeding the expectations their bosses have set for them. This allows for self-motivated employees who really excel in a work environment that is subjective to the individual. On the other hand, I'm surprised that you found your fellow employees to lack the skillsets that you thought were needed to achieve the proper success and cohesion at Addison Group. Keeping your comments in mind, we would like to point out that with all new hires, and especially ones who are young and lack formal experience, there is always a learning curve involved when they come to work for us. We are very proud of our training program and the skills that it teaches up and coming members of the team. The fact that we provide training opportunities to all employees truly is a point of differentiation for us. Overall, we have seen a lot of success in the training program and the things it does for people. Thank you for your feedback, which we will keep in mind for the future! Best of luck to you!

-As the company grows there is a large amount of opportunity for motivated individuals to earn a great living and rise up the ranks. -Commission and salary structures are motivating for individuals who enjoy working hard and seeing the fruits of their labor. -Fantastic culture! The definition of work hard/play hard

Cons

The staffing industry in general is not for the faint of heart. To be successful, hard work and time are a must!

We appreciate your kind words and the detailed description of why you feel this way about Addison Group. Your comments about our company’s growth are always nice to see, and we too believe that more growth means more opportunity for the people within our company. We also take pride in the way we reward our employees for doing their job to the best of their ability. Aside from commission and salary benefits, we also offer special bonuses and even company trips for employees who go above and beyond what’s expected. Our culture in and outside of the workplace also plays a pivotal role in defining our company. The work hard/play hard mindset is something that has worked for us since our company’s inception nearly 20 years ago. When it comes to the staffing industry as a whole, you nailed it on the head. The success of an individual in this field really comes down to their work ethic and their ability to reach (and overachieve) the goals they set for themselves. If any employee at any firm is highly motivated and puts in the hours, they will likely get what they want out of a job with Addison Group, or any other staffing firm. We really appreciate your insight and we are happy that Addison Group has been able to keep you around for 10+ years. Wishing you all the best for the future!

Pros

The company culture at Addison NY is supportive, fun, and the team sets you up for success in your role. VP Ted Fitzgerald is a seasoned vet in the business of staffing, and having access to him as a mentor will put you ahead right from the start. If you are organized, highly money motivated, and good with people, this could be a great career option for you! Hands on training and help are always available from not only your team, but from on demand content as well.

Cons

For the industry of staffing, Addison Group sets themselves apart from the rest. I left Addison having had a great experience, and am thankful for my time there. The nature of the day to day was simply not what I was looking for in a prolonged career, which prompted me to find an opportunity in a different field. Note that success in staffing is contingent on heavy phone and email work in order to build your book of business. It takes time to ramp up and see results but it is worth it!

We always appreciate positive feedback from past employees, but we appreciate detailed responses like this even more. Regardless of the nature of the feedback we are given, the most important part is always the helpfulness of the content. Here you have laid out clear examples of why Addison Group can be the right career choice. It is obvious that although Addison Group wasn’t the right fit for you on a day-to-day work environment, you left from a place of integrity and professionalism. This is all any employer can ask from their employee in this type of situation. We wish you the best of luck with the rest of your career.
