Pros

Making great friendships-unfortunately the backbone of these friendships were bonded though work-related stress, instability and uncertainty that comes with working at Addison Group. Compensation can be good but it is very difficult to sustain Training program is well structured. Be prepared to role play a lot. This is definitely needed for this position but seems to be very uncomfortable for most

Cons

High expectations and poor work-life balance- this is a metrics driven environment with weekly meetings with your manager to discuss your performance. Expectations are the same as they were 2 years ago and they do not align with a 2023 market. Almost no one was coming close to the expectations in my last several months(even when the market was better). In result, the stress trickles into your life outside of work. Every week is the rat race for everyone at Addison Group. If you are not performing the company will put you on a week by week probation plan. If you do not hit your metrics they let you go. In my time at this company I saw this happen many times. Very high turn over…lots of people quit, lots of people get let go. The company hired individuals on under a hybrid structure, but once the 2023 market hit and the company failed to meet budget, they took all remote days away and made them incentives instead. Again, expectations were extremely high and almost no one in our location was able to work from home. The company hires new grads. People who are eager to make a lot of money and don’t know any better. No one with experience and common sense would entertain this job.

Thanks for taking the time to provide feedback. We’re disappointed to hear that you feel that, besides the great training program, your experience wasn’t pleasant. Our #1 goal is to ensure a quality experience and to do that we look to feedback on platforms such as Glassdoor. This helps us identify new areas of opportunity where we can improve the way we work and even take advice on the metrics that are being set. Pros

- Work Life Balance is great as long as you are working hard when you are supposed to be working. - Great commission structure that allows anyone the opportunity to make six figures regardless of how long you have worked at Addison. - Allows me the ability to celebrate with team members when they reach milestones/goals. - Gives individuals the ability to control their paycheck. What you do or don't do, directly correlates to your OWN paycheck.

Cons

- We have grown exponentially throughout my career, which is great, but occasionally feels like we have forgotten about the things that helped us grow to this level in the first place.

Work Hard & Get Rewarded

Pros

Being on a base +commission structure, it was nice to know that I was rewarded based on the results I presented. I made great lifelong friends with the coworkers I had on my team. If you stick it out, you'll grow in your leadership opportunities on the team because turnover is so high. I genuinely had a lot of fun working here and it taught me valuable life and career lessons.

Cons

Staffing in general can feel a little cut throat at times, and I was good at what needed to get done, but looking back I wish I hadn't been so encouraged to step on the person next to me in order to get more money and placements in my own pocket. Management is so stressed to get numbers that it affects their ability to lead the team, and they end up spending more time trying to just make it all look better than it really is than fixing the problems at hand. I was wildly disappointed to find out at one point that although I was one of the highest performing recruiters on the team, I was making far less in base compensation than my counter parts.
