Pros

As someone who worked here for nearly 5 years, the majority of the recent reviews from September are fake and written by the same VP of one particular office.. Addison Group likes to hire recent grads and half their branch managers aren’t actually managers but just robots who repeat what their VP’s tell them to say. It’s a good job to get your feet wet, and if you can make it past 2 years, you’ve done a good job. The experience you’ll gain can definitely translate well to a corporate recruiting role if that is what your long term goal is. Uncapped commission is nice! As long you bill. If you go three + months with no billing and your clients don’t pay, you’re screwed and likely won’t last long enough to see any commission. It’s hard as a new hire to get past that hurdle.

Cons

-No diversity. -It all comes down to if you’re a big biller or not. If you are, you can basically do whatever the hell you want (even if it goes against policy) without repercussions or your manager giving a crap. -They care too much about KPI’s. You billed 40k in a month? But you only had 49 conversations and not 50 in a week?!? “YOU NEED TO TRY HARDER, CLEARLY YOU DON’T CARE ABOUT YOUR JOB!!” -They are awful at implementing things, or they implement things too soon without thinking it over. Often you’ll do something that they rolled out but then nothing comes from it until one day 5 months later they’ll ask you why you never sent out a skill market email to all of your contacts who gave the company an order back in 2005 whose names begin with the letter B and is your half cousin from Arizona. -Did I mention no diversity?

Pros

Friendly staff Opportunity to develop professional skills that can be used elsewhere Can be flexible (when business is booming) for time off

Cons

Incredibly micromanaged (even when they say that isn't their intention) Low pay, no standardized pay based off of years of experience The expectation to be on, all the time Inconsistent policies and procedures that aren't always enforced (and when they are, they usually screw over the person who did all the work)
