Pros

Not a blankety - blank thing

Cons

I was terminated when the company I was assigned was bought by another company. They first told me they would mail me my effects, and then after about ten days told me I had to go back in and get them. This is a half-hour drive one way, besides being humiliating. I said it would be about three days till I could get them, and my recruiter says why do you have this attitude with me? I said I am not happy with the situation and I am burying my best friend this week, I can't. He says, oh sorry, I didn't know and I said two weeks I explained it all to you and you approved my time off. He just says well I can't be expected to remember everything. This is typical of their level of humanity as you will see in a moment. They screwed up my employment by putting in the wrong reason code (that I was still employed there for the moment) and when I nicely asked them to correct it so I could get paid Rheanna said she'd do it if and when she got around to it. Not an exaggeration. I lost my temper and said how would like it if someone told you you'd get paid whenever, and right at Christmas? She then put me down as terminated for performance which is 100% NOT true - but it further delayed my payments, over six weeks in total, while the UC needlessly took their valuable time and investigated. I won in the end of course but it was just a passive-aggressive childish revenge on their part because I dared to demand they do their jobs correctly.

We are very troubled by your review as this is the exact opposite of our values as a company. While we are sorry your unemployment took longer than you expected Addison Group responded to their requirements within the state given due date. If the unemployment office has additional questions regarding our response, we respond to those questions by the state given due date. If claimants have questions regarding the status and timeline of their unemployment claim, they should always reach out their state unemployment office. Addison Group would never withhold or delay payment to a current/past employee regardless of reason. We wish you the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

Excellent company culture. There is a lot of room for internal growth/movement and a great team-oriented environment. Good opportunity for commission bonuses.

Cons

The company culture is geared toward individuals who enjoy competition and fast-paced environments. However, any staffing or recruiting firm will be like this and you know what you’re signing up for. It’s all about finding the right fit for you.

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review, especially as a current employee! You are right, staffing is not for everyone and we make sure we are upfront about what this job requires. You may not be a good fit at every company but we are definitely happy you are enjoying working with us and are continuing to develop your career with Addison Group. Thanks for all your hard work!

Pros

AG invests in their employees. With ample on the job training and structured development in individual fields, AG gives all those who work there an opportunity to continue to grow their personal skill set while adding others. The atmosphere compares to a normal friend group. On the day to day, working with your team you can expect real teammates who will hold you to your word and support you in your venture. We always know where each other stands at the end of the day and make the constant effort to keep morale high. We work for ourselves and each other, and the rewards that are often provided for the success we see. We work hard and we play harder. Corporate makes the effort to create a relationship at all levels. They make decisions based on the benefit of everyone, not just them. All in all, the opportunity AG has provided for me and my family has been a God Send. I was referred by a friend who had (and still has) a position here and they took a chance on me. After hitting my one year mark, I am happy to report that it all worked out well and have much to thank them for.

Cons

A con of AG is some people just simply can't hack it. They have the personality to be successful and the skill set but are not capable of applying the daily discipline to developing a book of business. We have the chance to create a friendship with our new coworker(s) and they make the decision to change their career path based on the quality/amount of work we maintain. For some it can be overwhelming at first, but with the immediate gratification socialization that exists in today's society, it will take mental strength from any applicant to understand Leonardo did not paint the Chapel in a day.
