      Pros

      You can obtain work fairly quickly, as in within about a month of application. Adecco also works with large employers, so in theory you could gain experience and a foot in the door toward a permanent job. Key phrase: in theory.

      Cons

      Pay is subpar particularly for the markets in which it operates and its partners. Adecco staff themselves seem to be really unhappy -- I have never seen an Adecco staffer smile. Benefits are cheap, meager; there is no flexibility in work schedules or time off which is supposed to be part of the point of being a contractor.

      Pros

      Aggressive and fair commission scale. Hard workers with good sales and good markups are rewarded for their efforts. Good work/life balance.

      Cons

      Micromanagement. The company has become involved in day to day operations of individual employees instead of allowing them to work independently. The new COO of our division has implemented a top-down fear as a motivator approach. The company benefits are pitiful. High cost for little coverage. Many employees opt-out of employer coverage for personal coverage or coverage from a spouse's employer.

      Pros

      Lots of assignments and weekly pay.

      Cons

      Low wages, lots of assignments that only an illegal would accept, They, in my opinion, never lived up to there mission statement. "Matching your job preferences and skill level with our clients' needs" (quote from their employee handbook). I found the statement to be less than withstanding.
