About 90% of the Sam's Club Members are great. The other 10% are rude, rude, demanding and as a demo person we have no recourse. They are demanding and inductive and ASM does not give a demo employee a recourse to deal with them. Members can cuss at you, accuse you and wish to report you to managers. Yet, as a demo person you have to accept this Members steal product, abuse the number of demo bites they take and you are told you have to let the members have as many demo bites as they like. The sign says "Taste And Tips" and the reality is far from the truth. Do demo employes have to take the verbal abuse over a "bite?" ASM says yes. OMG. Forgive me. Abusive members and ASM has no policy in place to protect the demo employee?

The ware and tear of your car. You are not given a company vehicle so you basically are risking your own car at your expense. Although you are reimbursed for milage its not nearly enough to cover the cost of maintenance or gas. A majority of your time, depending on your territory may be sitting in traffic to and from your first and last destination. It can become frustrating especially in the winter and rain traveling from store to store lugging large displays that are not guaranteed approval by your store managers. Like I stated in the headline, you really must have a passion for retail and the postion that you are in in order to want to excel and reach higher heights within the company. Over all . . . car will gain hundreds of miles a month and you are no reimbursed much for gas nor maintenance. You will get at tops $20 a week depending upon the distance driven.
