Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your experience with us. I am really sorry that your experience at Advocate Construction did not match our intention of being the best place you have ever worked. We are committed to creating a comfortable, transparent and collaborative environment for all our employees, so we are disappointed to hear about your experience. However, we would like to clarify your comments regarding the draw. Our sales pay structure is vastly different from a traditional draw system that can feel like a hole. Under no circumstances does Advocate Construction collect unearned salary back from employees. Each of our sales employees is provided with a base salary, this base salary is guaranteed weekly pay, regardless of performance. Once a sales employee is bringing in more earnings than what we are paying them via their base salary, we pay them the additional earnings. Earnings surpassing one's base salary are uncapped, for this reason, we have many employees earning well into the six figures within their first two years. We believe that employees who work hard, put in the effort, and produce results, shouldn't be held back in their earnings with only a salary, this is why we offer both the stability of a base salary and the benefits of uncapped commissions. We also offer health, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401K with company match to all employees. If you would like to share more about your experiences please contact me by emailing hr@advocateconstruction.com so that we can set up a time to talk. Thank you again for the feedback.

Pros

This job is very rewarding! From the feeling you get when you file an insurance claim with a homeowner, to the moment that homeowner closes out the account. This company makes work life fun enjoyable and when you or the sales team hit your incentives good things happen! There are countless opportunities throughout the year for rewards there is a large incentive trip in February to a tropical destinations. Of course there is always commission if you hit your goals.

Cons

This job can become very addicting to the point where most of my days start off between 7 and 9 AM and before I know it it’s 9 o’clock at night and I’m finally coming home. Anyone can do this job but it’s not for everyone. Despite those long hours management is always flexible when you need to take care of something as long as you are getting results.

Pros

Great earning potential, great company culture, you learn skills that most companies can't or won't take the time to teach you, very serious though your training that allows you to become successful if you hold yourself accountable and work hard. -Unlimited earning potential, can easily make 100K plus a year if you have the drive -Owners are down to earth people persons - Great work atmosphere - Growing Company - Promotes from within - Crazy awesome incentive trips - Health insurance benefits - Hard work is greatly rewarded

Cons

Hours can be very demanding during peak season, but the pay-off is worth every minute. It can take a while (couple months) to earn beyond the draw, but if you're doing well, the upfront commissions are plenty for the average individual. If you are not a hard worker and are not hungry to continually improve and do better then it probably is not a good fit for you. This is not the type of place to just show up and punch the time card and start counting down the hours until you leave.
