Pros

What to say about Advocate. Let's star off by saying from the very beginning you are treated as family. This is a company where from the bottom to the top there is no such thing as I'm too busy for you. If there is help needed, there is always help given. It has a huge emphasis on results driven but also knows that with that comes the need of a work life balance. I have personally seen multiple employees go out of their way to help someone out when it has nothing to do with work more times than I can count. Their focus on helping their customers is second to none. Constantly "fighting" for the best interest of their customers gives them the ability to carry the name "Advocate Construction". Plus they don't treat their customers like the typical sales companies. The "I'm going to sell you something then leave you be and never talk to you again" mentality has no place here. On top of all of that they genuinely take care of their people. They offer truck allowances, multiple incentive trips and more training than someone could ever ask for and that is just a fraction of what they do for their people. They go multiple steps beyond what anyone would require to feel like you are valued as an employee. To the extent that multiple spouses have come to work for the company after coming to gatherings and seeing the culture they have built. But above all else if you work hard and give your all, it is simply a job anyone could make and earn a substantial living. I personally have more than doubled my yearly income since starting here from jobs prior.

Cons

This is not a con, but more of a cautionary statement. This company expects the same dedication they give to their employees in return. People who come here expecting to do the bare minimum and get by will be challenged and will not see success. This company invests a lot into their people so they want that same level investment in them as they put into you. Which in my opinion is 100% fair.

Pros

It's a little difficult to summarize ALL of the pros of working for Advocate Construction for two reasons: 1. There really are a lot of pros and, as my tenure with Advocate grows, I find myself continuously discovering more and more of them. At a glance, there are obvious pros like multiple team outings, truck allowance, and a flexible schedule, but if you're interested for ONLY those reasons, this may not be the job for you which leads me to my second point . . . 2. The pros of working for Advocate Construction are also difficult to summarize as the job truly is exactly what you make it out to be. Team outings and a truck are awesome, but the real pros are uncapped earning potential, the ability to manage your own book of business, unlimited training and development, and the opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing company that always takes the time to recognize and reward your efforts. However, achieving and enjoying all of that is entirely up to you. If you apply yourself, remain open to coaching and development and bring the right attitude to work everyday, then I guarantee you that you'll enjoy this job.

Cons

See: Pros. While this job has positively changed the lives of each of us at Advocate Construction, it definitely isn't the right job for everyone. The training and development here is unmatched, but correctly applying that is entirely up to you.
