Pros

Some work related schedule flexibility.

Cons

A huge amount of driving your own vehicle. Many client caregivers were unreasonable. Continue pressure put on coordinators. Too many deadlines. Too many requests coming from too many directions. Incredibly low pay for responsibilities.

Thank you for taking the time to share feedback about your work at Advocates. Our goal is to cultivate a welcoming community where all employees feel respected and valued, and we’re so glad to hear that you’ve had a positive experience. We also appreciate your note about compensation and acknowledge that pay is a challenge across our industry, with funding rates typically set by state agencies and third-party insurers. We’re united with other providers at both the state and national level in advocating for improved funding and fair wages that recognize the vital work of human services employees. At Advocates, we endeavor to provide the most competitive wages and benefits possible – it is our top priority. We encourage those interested in advancing pay equity to consider becoming involved with The Caring Force, the grassroots advocacy initiative of the Providers’ Council. Again, thank you for sharing your experiences at Advocates – if you have additional feedback, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at HREmployeeExperience@Advocates.org.
