Pros

Positive environment, young, energetic Competitive nature, You learn a lot in a short period of time Prepares you for the real world

Cons

Hours are rediculously long, they want you to be there from 7:30AM to 6 30 PM everyday Based on the division you are placed in the ability to make money is strongly differentiated There are a lot of things that go on that don't have much logic behind them Unreliable source of income, based on your contractors hours each week

Pros

Depending on the recruiter you're working with, Aerotek is a good place to begin networking and transitioning into another career. Of course, it depends on where they place you. I'm currently placed at Amazon.com, and my contract is running it's limit at 11 months. While I have several irons in the networking fire at Amazon to try and get on full time, Aerotek has not really helped with this at all. Hopefully they'll be able to get me another contract lined up so I can do two things: a) avoid another stint on unemployment b) leverage Amazon to speed up their notoriously rigorous and slow hiring process: having a competing offer lights a fire under their butts. Until then, though, the jury is still out with Aerotek in terms of long-range career placement.

Cons

Their benefits package is just one or two notches up from nothing: beware of the Aetna insurance's limits for out-patient procedures! Also, while they are hands off, which is nice, they are also not hands on enough: my contract is running out, and I'm not getting much in terms of checking in from my recruiter to see if I'm interested in other jobs so I can avoid unemployment.. Basically, they place you, offer you cruddy insurance, and then cut your checks: it's easy to forget you are actually working for Aerotek and not the company you're contracted with (Amazon, in my case).

Pros

-Debt free company -Compensation is great when you are doing well -Huge focus on training and development -For the most part, energetic, passionate and successful people -They don't hire just anyone for internal positions. People feel proud to be there (not in a bad way-- just take ownership of responsibility) -HUGE rewards for hitting recruiter and sales contests -Strong training/on-boarding for new hires

Cons

-Low base salary -Benefits are just ok IMHO -Very difficult and stressful job if you hate going home at the end of the day disappointed -A lot of your experience correlates directly to what division you're in and who your Account Manager is -The whole point is to promote people from Recruiter to Sales-- there are other opportunities such as being an On-Premise Manager but only if you live in an area where Aerotek has clients where we're on-site -If you don't want to do sales there isn't much beyond Recruiting except for a few select people at corporate and certain trainers
