Pros

The pay when you get to salary.

Cons

No life balance, favoritism, bash you when you leave or get let go, triangle scheme. They will pretend to care about you to get as much information from you about other employees. Question you every day about your attitude and intentions. You earn paid time off but they don't allow you to use it unless your one their favorites. Working 50+ hours a week is never enough, even when you You will work through your lunch, weekends and holidays. When you get let go or quit they bash every past employee by saying, "They didn't want to work hard enough." Although you hit all your goals, were higher in spread than some Account Mangers and spent every lunch recruiting. If you don't participate in their after work hours happy hours and drink you get talked bad about and shamed for not being a culture fit. If your ever sick and have the PTO to use it you get shamed upon. No matter what you do it's not enough for them unless you are the frat type that loves to kiss up and drink. No life balance here and they do not appreciate their employees.

Pros

-50K base salary -uncapped commission -Team environment

Cons

-Bad work life balance.. Working 7:30am-6pm.. Saturdays if needed and taking my laptop home to write a report on Sundays. -Too many meetings wasting your time that should have been an email -Management over-analyzing every single thing.... all the time -Very high expectations. You cannot just come to work and meet all your numbers for the week. You have a list of other things that you need to do and put in a report. For example.. They want you give feedback to your coworkers daily, pointing out when they mess up and how you confronted them and then write about it and discuss it in a Monday meeting. -Sitting at a desk on the phone all day.

Good Stepping Stone

Pros

Corporate events are quite social and provide paid-for meals and open bars, happy hours are frequent, and team building activities are plenty which offers a quick get away from work on a quarterly and annual basis. To the naked eye, it is an upbeat positive atmosphere until you are there long enough to see what is really going on. Change is constant so if you are willing to fake it (being fake) until you make it (get promoted) there are opportunities (if they like you enough) to get experience in all facets of the business (experience to take elsewhere). Quarterly bonuses are not guaranteed but come in handy.

Cons

Huge conflict of interest with middle management relationships. Honestly, most of them are either family, spouses, or best friends. If you don't fit in at their dinner party, you most likely won't get a seat at the corporate table either. You might stay entry level forever if you don't learn to suck up to the right people. Activities among teams can seem forced and really just a way for management to pick their next target for who is cool enough or fitting enough to join their team. Work load is not fairly delegated - for supervisors and entry level employees. Management is oblivious to the real issues of employees because they live in their own entitled world. I'll just agree with other comments here and say it is a very high-school like environment where anyone they want to sabotage, they will. Managers will sabotage careers, trap you in a position until you quit, or ruin your reputation so that you can never move. If you can't smile and roll with the punches here, you will get knocked out.
