Pros

- NBA team has many cool data science opportunities going on to address health gaps in members. Depending on the team you're on, the problems are interesting and fulfilling to address - Kind and supportive colleagues and direct managers

Cons

- Pay varies tremendously, and leaders are not proactive about adjusting wages - Little transparency on how to move to the next level here, and usually comes down to how much money you're bringing in with your project. Leaders give you a "rubric" with guidelines, but you'll usually see people getting promoted regardless if they have lucrative projects. - Technical work varies by team/manager, and there are no structured code reviews before project deployment - Senior leadership lacks racial diversity
