Pros

Did have a competitive salary and good benefits Fully remote CEOs/founders are great

Cons

Management and Executive team have no idea what they’re doing. Used funding to bloat team and gutted them within 2 quarters. Some were so toxic positive and refused to listen to any constructive criticism. As of this post they were also fired… Favoritism was absolutely blatant and disregarded any plans for promotion - Bumped the favorite and kept hiring outside instead of promoting from within. They kept dangling a promise of promotion and actual training because the team missed unrealistic targets - continuously blaming us for they’re lack of experience and oversight. One of the upper levels reported to literally had no idea about the ICP. Lots of employees that are so much more knowledgeable kept complaining and having to do extra work just to appease them. ALSO - An executive member hired all of their friends, making diversity non-existent. Most if not all POC were let go in 22-23 and they seem to be homogenizing the sales org. Best I can describe, it’s essentially a fraternity and popularity contest. Not really fulfilling the diversity and inclusion promise?

Pros

I have valued my time here so far and knew this would be a great company to work for based on the people culture that Affinity has embodied and fostered from the start of the interview process. Now having been here for a little over a year, I'm impressed by the energy and focus to prioritize and care for our employees. The commitment to cultivating talent and welcoming people from different backgrounds has promoted a great sense of belonging, and I'm truly thankful for that.

Cons

Although I feel like Affinity's DEIB lens is actively on, as the company expands and grows (much like other companies), there is always room for improvement to ensure our recruitment and retention strategies continue to increase representation and create a more inclusive environment (POC and women), especially at the leadership level.

Pros

Compensation Great Founders Good benefits Work travel opportunities Some great people that are enjoyable to work with. Can make an impact on the organisation.

Cons

Executive team are underqualified and are steering the company in missing conservative targets each quarter. Leaders in charge of the BDR function have never done BDR before and so don't know the needs for it to be successful. When leadership make a decision, you will not be consulted, nor will they be receptive to feedback. Targets have been increased across the whole sales function to be unrealistic. Top performers in BDR will not be given autonomy to do their jobs. There is no progression pathway in place for them either. There is a sales progression plan where you achieve 'automatic promotion'. When you speak to the people who have been promoted and put into different market segments, they wish they never had done. Displays a faulty system they are unwilling to change. Leadership executives have favorite employees in their departments. So be prepared for unequal treatment that you will not be able to shift even with performance. Leadership has a habit of firing employees to use them as scapegoats for their poor mismanagement of functions. Many firings were not given warning or put on a performance plan before it happened. No talent nurturing. No investment made in your development bar the education fund. If you want to learn new skills you will have to go out and develop them yourselves. Some managers are inauthentic.
