Pros

Work your own hours. Work from home. Company insensitively if you are lucky enough to make the cut. excellent job for females as they are favored

Cons

If you are a female and willing to show cleavage to get clients, this is the job for you. Managed also favors female agents and will baby them and practically get them their clients, then promote them. The company requires classes on ethics which are a joke as none of the District managers abide by the rules. It's also 100% commission, so make sure you have a full year or two of savings so you have something to live on while you try and build a clientele by yourself

Pros

Those who have the personality and commitment can make a bunch of money over time. Aflac is a great company with unique insurance policies, they do all of the marketing for you.

Cons

Success is influenced by what district director signs you up. Some are much better than others. Commission only, and with a long selling prices out takes a lot of time and a tin of hard work child calling and learning everything about insurance to get going. You better have another source of income or a lot of money saved up to survive the first several months. In their 'orientation interviews' which is just a presentation about aflac, they make the bed sound so important and selling it so simple, but I found it to be much more difficult to sell than they led me to believe. After a year when I moved on I was resentful at how they get people in the door there. They make the job seem so much more glamorous than I found it to be. There is a very high turnover rate.
