Pros

Learns the best from the U.S. startup environment, open-plan office, the co-office space kinda looks like the Facebook office! Co-founders are friendly, works just as hard as us which I find motivating, they welcome us to help interview new joiners too so we can actively help to grow our teams and start to build bond with candidates from the very first introduction. We are all given brand new 15” macbook pros with touch bar to use!

Cons

I read some of the negative reviews on here. AfterShip is a growing tech startup not a cruise ship!!! So it does sail very fast - need to keep up and even new joiners have KPIs to meet - so everybody is very busy and there will be times when you feel tired and stressed. I personally find people are friendly - they are open to collaborate and knowledge share, the office is nice - so much space, equipment wise - we all get brand new macbooks and can choose our own tools, work wise - we are given so much freedom and flexibility. So in a general sense - can’t complain as the company is still growing and improving and the China office is new.

Pros

Open minded culture Casual conversation between teammates Rich resources Self-management best practices follower Company is keeping growth and improving

Cons

Sometimes you may feel lack of directions as an individual as we now work in scrum teams so team members remind each other to stick to team sprint goals Sometimes we need to be on-call coverage for non-office hours and the company compensates us for this working outside office hours Sometimes may feel stress from stakeholders due to higher expectations because we follow best practices and the company keeps growing and continuously improving

Pros

I am grateful for the opportunities and advancement I have had here at AfterShip. I have learned many new things: colleagues taught me about the industry and shared their knowledge with me. At AfterShip there are no limitations for growth and I have always been encouraged to reach farther, improve my knowledge and develop new skills, which builds on my professional expertise and enhances personal development. Moreover, AfterShip is people-focused and throughout the company’s growth and development, innovation and work life balance are promoted and employee opinions are highly valued. It is pleasurable to work in such an innovative environment. Not a day the same and, for me, it is this variety that makes working at AfterShip truly enjoyable. We are now at a time of rapid growth and exciting new global initiatives. This is an exciting time to be working at AfterShip and I look forward to the opportunities and challenges that come with the expansion of the business. (Especially now that we have a head of engineer and a person looking after HR.)

Cons

At this moment the company is under the time of rapid growth and facing difficulty of shortage of professional experts to fill up those roles
