Pros

- Decent pay while on the job - Experience working with different kinds of tools - Getting to travel and see new places

Cons

- On call 24/7 - Cannot travel more than like 25 minutes from pick up site, so can't really go anywhere - After driving for hours (as much as 18 hours), you are still expected to be able to work - They make you work hours at a time. I once had to work a 36 hour cleaning job, and then I was still expected to drive the 4 hours back to pick up location and do the cleanup of the van. - A lot of manual labor, and some places don't have elevators. You will work in all kinds of temperatures, and some of these places smell. - If you have a prior commitment, even if approved for time off, expect hassle if you are out on a job. Expect a hostile work environment afterward. Your supervisor controls your hours. If he doesn't like you, he will not call you for work. - This job is feast or famine. You could be home for weeks because there is no work, or gone for weeks. You cannot plan anything though, because (again) you are on call 24/7.

Pros

Not many pros. Good location?

Cons

This company rips off families during the absolute worst time of their lives. Their inflated prices, insurance scams and lying to families about financial repercussions of using their outrageously priced services will leave you unable to sleep at night if you have a soul. Management is sexist and dishonest. They claim to have "proprietary" chemicals (it's really a store bought brand in a different bottle and try to explain away their prices when in fact you can hire many companies for a fraction of the price. Just an awful bunch of people running the place who are not qualified to manage anyone. Take my advice, save yourself the drama and go elsewhere. No amount of money is worth giving up your freedom to be at their beck and call (weekends, holidays, overnight kiss it all goodbye, )They will work you to death and actually get mad if you don't answer your phone on a "day off" which never happens. The absolute lowest of the low. Work life balance is non existent and they pay salary so they get all of your overtime for free.

Pros

N/a, this place truly sucks

Cons

Probably the worst place I have worked. The work culture is absolutely ridiculous and the pay is not even worth it. Aftermath pays you different pay rates depending on what you are doing. For instance.. working in the office is $10 a hour, driving is $10, when you are physically on a job you will get your job rate which varies depending on your position. Starting pay for a technician is $20 a hour. Although that sounds great, the amount of time you spend on a job varies and the way the pay structure is built you won’t even get the full $20. Aftermath also has a current lawsuit that they have actually just decided to settle because of them not even paying out over time when claiming they are doing so. You are on call 24/7 and sometimes you work crazy hours of the night or spend days out of town with a very poor pay check to show for it. Racism and discrimination has been a big reoccurring issue due to the current employees and although statements and reports have been made of said issues, nothing has gotten done and nothing will probably ever get done. Overall terrible
