Pros

Fairly good (but shrinking) benefits. Hewlett Packard spin-off technology leader -- doesn't hurt on a resume. Excellent tech mentoring from 30-year "old hands."

Cons

10 years of stagnation. 10 years of shrinking product lines and shrinking workforce. 10 years of accelerated off-shoring. 10 years of "one more for the gipper." 10 years of gipper-only prosperity.

Opportunities to work on cutting edge test and measurement equipment. Comfortable team environment, sharing of knowledge and opportunities to learn from other engineers with a vast background in test and measurement design.

Cons

The company is heavily stacked with experienced engineers (i.e., 15 or more years at the company), which can make it difficult for younger engineers to move up the ranks.

A place to work but not growth

It is a good place to work and to learn test and measurement skill and knowledge. It has place for your leisure time and also flexibility on working time.

Cons

- Not a good company for R&D - Not a good place to stay long if you need more growth - A lot of pay cut for past 10 years - Business minded have overwhelming the family value compare to HP principle
