      Pros

      Good culture and people, friendly atmosphere, constant flux, challenging projects. Right now anybody is lucky to have a job.

      Cons

      Too Much Managment. I have 4 bosses each with a different agenda. Upward mobility is a murky prospect. Merit increases were frozen for FY08. Restrictions on purchasing make it difficult just to get ordinary things accomplished let alone the real project tasks. Salaries are all over the place and don't seam to correlate with experience or job performance.

      Pros

      Agilent employees are very smart and very nice and Agilent provides the best work/life "HARMONY". Agilent does a great job of making the work environment very comfortable and enjoyable with little unnecessary stress. At Agilent, it's much more important to do a great job than to deal with organizational beaurocracy.

      Cons

      The company encourages latteral moves more than vertical advancement. This is great if you want to learn a lot of new things and can focus on doing good work in the job you're currently in, but it could be frustrating if you expect to advance rapidly to a particular senior level position.
