Pros

1. The pay checks show up every two weeks. 2. Union rules dictate that you can be hired up to step 5. Don't let AMC low ball you if you have experience. Don't except anything less than than step 5, they will pay it because the pilot shortage is real. All experienced/military new hires are getting step 4-5. 3. I have a very short, perfect, commute....if it weren't for that I wouldn't work at AMC.

Cons

1. Old fleet of aircraft 2. Pay is average 3. Knee jerk reaction to anything the FAA says. My previous company worked with the FAA to make sense of FARs vs. Company Operating procedures. 4. Management changes frequently. 5. Do this or get fired mentality in company. 6. Indoc was "101 ways to get fired from AMC", not friendly and welcoming like other companies. 7. Pay is still slightly below most competitors. 8. Pilots have to be apart of the union. Union complicates everything. 9. CEO gives positives talks, but operations & mx are driven by $ and not getting in trouble with the FAA.
