Pros

Not vary hard work. I pulled tanker all you do is drive and unload

Cons

I worked in a union shop and the union does nothing for you. No one sticks together every man for himself. You work a lot of hours and weekend and holidays. Management thinks it’s the best job out there. They lie to you instead of telling the truth. Even though you have a contact they make up the rules as they play the game to suit them. Management talks to other employees behind your back. If you work in the plant no one will help you out.

Not the best place

Pros

The pay is okay. They really strive to remain competitive with pay in comparison to companies in the same industries, by performing wage evaluations industry wide in the area that particular DC is operating in. It was common to receive an additional .50 per hour minimum about every few years. The work is relativity simple to perform and easy to keep up with.

Cons

I hope if you join this company you really enjoy the work you are being hired for. This company does not promote from within. You may be given the opportunity to move laterally around in the company from one department to another, but you will never be given the chance to promote to a department supervisor despite their eagerness to accept your application for possible positions. You may have issues with individuals and file complaints with management but don't expect them to be resolved effectively. If you have issues with management don't expect HR to be any help. This place is a sweat shop. They don't care about team building and working to common goals. They offer monthly bonuses but then depend on temp employees, who don't benefit from said bonus, to achieve the level of production requirements in order to receive it. They are willing to make arrangements for certain employees but not others.

Pros

Decent Pay at first, plateaus very quickly though. Benefits are pretty good. Front line workers generally have each others backs and support one another. Some middle management people recognize people and their contributions

Cons

Upper management doesn't care about their people. Try to do as much with as little as possible to the point of burning out extremely good employees extremely quickly. Unless you know someone don't expect to advance with any kind of quickness. Raises and promotions are handed out to people who brown nose, and not those who do the actual work.
