      Micromanaged and Pay Behind Everyone Else

      Pros

      Local management was great to deal with. Variety of work was great. Trucks were in great shape. Fully heated and enclosed forklifts were a bonus in winter.

      Cons

      Certain regional managers lead by micromanaging and treating the drivers like they were a dime a dozen. Organization was very management heavy and local managers had to jump through hoops to get anything accomplished. Organization was very unorganized in the region.

      -easy to take PTO -safety -paid drive time

      Cons

      -doesn’t appreciate employees. New hires getting paid more than the guys who have been working for years at the company. They don’t understand training someone who is getting paid more than you, doesn’t motivate someone to do a good job. -Paperwork. The job is more paperwork than physical work. Sometimes makes you wonder if you’re a manager or an FST -sales people care only about money and don’t really care to make the job easier for the FST. -installed cameras on the truck. They tell you to pull over if work phone rings three times, but you’re not allowed to make personal call even if it’s hands off.

      Pros

      Cherese was in charge of my on boarding. I missed the first 3 emails. she finally got a hold of me. And now I work for Airgas. In my first week of training. So far great experience, I am looking forward to the opportunity.
