      Too much red tape

      Pros

      Great WLB, good comp, unlimited PTO, hybrid work (effectively remote as we have to go once a quarter to office)

      Cons

      A lot of red tape in development, gut instinct of select few triumphs over any data that you may have. If you want to build anything, there will always be someone who says no. There is no one to take technical leadership role so for building everything, we need to have consensus among everyone to do it. If you have heard alternate truths on the news , you will hear about alternate design principles here (my manager actually used the word "alternate principle" when I tried to point out the design flaws by pointing out basic CS principles. Design disagreements never get resolved as there is no technical leadership.

      Confusing and lack of direction

      Pros

      Benefits are good, Pay is okay and Coworkers nice. Work-life balance good.

      Cons

      Multiple pivots + lack of transparency from E-team. Unclear where company is headed; sales numbers not looking good. Product updates are mostly table stakes. Executives are leaving, from all departments, and landing at top companies like Open AI. Feels like a death spiral unless the new board member or COO can take the reins and provide direction and product innovation.
