Pros
- Airtable has hired some of the best and brightest. Truly amazing co-workers that are doing their best to drive the business forward. - The line managers are also amazing. Really engaged with their employees and figuring out how to solve problems. - The future for Airtable seems bright. Even thought the valuation seems to be overstated, the company's vision is strong.
Cons
- They laid off 20% of the company 15 days before Christmas. While the severance was strong... this was just an awful way to treat employees and no doubt, brings up many questions for those who survived. All this after the CEO just purchased a $30 million home in Beverly Hills. - The overall business strategy is not clearly defined. Selling into the enterprise is not a strategy... it's a tactic. Leadership has been asked about this countless times and cannot seem to build more clarity. - Finally, the product is not user friendly and attempts to make it more so are elusive and low impact. Very few users stick with the product after the first few months and there have been almost no improvements over the past few years.
