Poor direction. Good pay. But good riddance.

Pros

• Great pay to make people want to stick around. • Compt definitely is a great way for people to pay for additional items during this time. • Those you work with are friendly and communicative.

Cons

• Layoffs occurred shortly after making announcements of "not being affected by COVID" and "having an off-site company retreat", only to pull back from that statement and cut a good number of folks off. • HR and execs said not to publicly announce the layoffs due to image and concerns what others may think. • Poor direction coming from upper management and lack of empathy coming from managers where they would essentially 'brush it off' or not respond. • Huge imbalance ratios of teams where there are more PMs than rest of product and engineering. • Power-hungry individuals that prevent certain things being done right and efficiently. • Gaslighting and toxic culture where no one wants to own up to the bad things.

Airtime Response

Dear Former Airtime Employee: We recognize how challenging the recent targeted layoff has been for many of our former co-workers – and never are these decisions made lightly. Our shared reality is that we have parted ways with teammates as a result of the economy and the tech landscape – not due to Covid. Parting ways with those that have contributed to Airtime – those that have been part of our family – those that had previously made a tremendous impact in our success is never easy. Contrary to what others may believe, leadership bears a weight that requires leaders to make decisions that impact employees, continue to cultivate business growth, and accountability for career guidance of our co-workers. While our recent downsizing impacted both members of leadership and employees from all departments, as leaders, we must make hard decisions for the growth and sustainability of the business at large. We agree that co-workers are friendly and communicative, and that we offer competitive pay and benefits. While this is an unfortunate circumstance that resulted in a targeted layoff, we hope your experiences at Airtime have readied you for an amazing role in a new home as we know our workforce has the privilege of working on leading technologies. We wish you luck in your search and hope you find an amazing opportunity to utilize your talents. One day we hope you will look back and know you were part of a team that achieved great success. Best, Gerrie Head of Talent Acquisition
