      Great gig, but serious regulatory concerns

      Flexible work from home Great pay and benefits Start-up energy Little to no red-tape

      Cons

      Serious regulatory deficits in the back office Personal information isn't super securely protected in my opinion Super sales heavy with little support for back office roles like HR and compliance

      Management needs fundamental change.

      Pros

      1. Tons of learning opportunities of building a product and scaling it in various geographies 2. Different challenges everyday which makes it unique and interesting(sometimes stressful though) working at Airwallex 3. Competent and smart colleagues to work with 4. Company is very result driven and quick at taking actions/launching products

      Cons

      1. Airwallex claims to be a global company, however the business is very much driven by Chinese market. 2. There is a lack of focus and long term vision. Company wants to launch its product basically in all continents around the world, and wants to expand its financial products to lending, issuing, spend management, etc. Seems very ambitious but clearly lacks insights and market research. 3. CEO should trust the employees and give more autonomy. There are more important things for him to focus on. Micromanagement is killing the team morale. 4. Lack diversity of staff hiring (most people are from elite schools or first tier tech/consulting companies)
