Pros

if you are in the US you will be paid well as that is the only lever they have to retain you

Cons

work here at your own risk. as mentioned in many other reviews, the culture is toxic and chaotic. there is constant turnover and multiple reorgs. career progression is unclear and you can expect to wait a long time to get promoted since management prefers to hire externally rather than promote from within. incredibly hard to hit your quota with weak product market fit in the US. also the CEO has mandated that employees post company content on their personal linkedin at least once a month which will be taken into account in performance reviews. this is an obvious violation of state privacy laws that protect employee off duty conduct

Thank you for sharing your perspective, and we're glad competitive compensation is something you've valued. The experience you've described doesn't align with the culture we're building or the standards we hold ourselves to. Let's address a few specific points: Culture and Stability: As we scale, we're building predictability into our growth. Our experienced sales leaders, who've been with Airwallex through multiple growth stages, use structured planning cycles, transparent communication, and clear OKRs to help teams navigate change with confidence. Career Progression: We're committed to developing talent internally. Our promotion frameworks are designed to provide clear pathways and prepare high performers for leadership roles. While we do hire externally for specialized expertise, internal development remains a priority. Product-Market Fit: We've seen strong traction across our global markets, including the US and Canada, where we're continuing to invest significantly. We regularly review quota methodology to ensure targets reflect market realities and set teams up for success. Social Media Policy: To be clear, we do not mandate employee social media activity, nor do we tie it to performance reviews. We encourage team members to share company updates if they choose to, but participation is entirely voluntary and has no bearing on performance evaluations. Your closing advice suggests management doesn't care, that's simply not true. We take this feedback seriously. For current employees, if your experience reflects what's described here, please reach out to your division head, manager or People team directly.
