Pros

- They pay well - There are smart talented people

Cons

- Completely chaotic, endless disruption - Fear based culture, common conversations about job loss - Incredibly high churn rate - Many people you work with are burned out - Actually an incredibly poor standard of work due to these conditions - Directors who just say yes to everything and have little to no subject knowledge

Thank you for sharing your feedback, and for acknowledging the caliber of talent on our team and our commitment to competitive compensation. The experience you've described is concerning and doesn't reflect the culture we're building. We're a high-growth company operating in a dynamic industry, which means priorities can shift as we respond to market opportunities. However, while we operate with speed and ambition, our expectation is that this is delivered with clarity and a respectful, supportive working environment. Here's what we're focused on to ensure our environment remains challenging but sustainable: Strategic Clarity: We have structured planning cycles and cascaded OKRs to ensure teams understand not just what we're doing, but why. This helps reduce reactive pivots and creates predictability even as we scale rapidly. Empowering Leadership: Through programs like our global Elevate initiative for people managers, we develop leaders who prioritize thoughtfully and lead with conviction rather than reflexive agreement. Building on this, in 2026, we launched Rise, empowering individual contributors to strengthen their leadership capabilities and amplify their impact. Sustainable Performance: We monitor team health through bi-annual engagement surveys and share results and action plans transparently across the company. We're committed to identifying and addressing burnout risks before they escalate. High standards and high performance don't require fear or chaos. For current employees, if your experience aligns with what's described here, we strongly encourage you to speak with the People team. This feedback matters, and we want to address it.

Pros

Might IPO in a couple of years

Cons

C suite and senior leadership is male dominated and most decision making is done by old boys club Few women in leadership roles with no opportunity for growth Lots of reorg and scope taken away from women Very political to get promoted and incompetent men get ahead due to the right relationships Leadership in the US is out of touch and tends to down level / underpay juniors

Pros

fast growing in (only) some regions due to little to no competition

Cons

Horribly run company which operates without strategy and only has a single playbook: churn and burn through as many new bodies as possible to drive incremental gp growth. Do your research and look at the THOUSANDs of ex-Airwallex employees, including very senior people, and you'll notice that large portion of them after leaving moved sideways or down in their career. This company is so pooorly organized you will likely move sideways at best and possibly down in your career after they burn through and exhaust you here in demanding work that is mostly unproductive and essentially useless or unnecessary in other companies. Jack permanently operates in a state of zero trust which he states openly and regularly including on podcasts, Meaning every idea, decision, presentation or action you perform, regardless of experience, he assumes and believes that either you're incompetent or intentionally negligent. If you're a senior executive reporting to him you will be regretting every second of it. Off the chart controlling micro management. Do not come here if you like to innovate, fix structural problems, act autonomously as a professional or see yourself as a thinking or high-performing tech-industry professional. All of those traits are punishable attributes here (see next comment). This is a pure pick up the phone and grind to close a short term gp generating deal, or be fired either now or one quarter later type of operation, full stop, nothing else matters. It is nothing more than a garage-style business which has been superficially and artificially scaled up to the size it is now through continuous rounds of funding, and all orgs even those not in sales are expected to be 100% aligned towards that goal. This means little to zero tolerance or existence of any type of support, or effective, basic or lasting foundation for anything else. Insane high double digit annual churn rates across all teams for several years running and increasing, with no slowdown showing you they are doubling down on their failed single playbook model and not evolving. The churn impacts all orgs: legal, support, revops, marketing, product, engineering, IT, HR, and of course sales.

Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate the honesty and specifics. We've grown fast, and growth at this pace doesn't always go smoothly. We know that. Over the past year, we've made real investments in the areas you've raised: stronger planning, clearer structures, better manager development through programs like Elevate, and more intentional career growth support through Rise. We want people to thrive here, not just pass through. We don't always get it right, and feedback like yours helps us close the gaps. Your experience matters, and we take it seriously. We wish you all the best going forward.
