processes are over-engineered, have to spend more time on administrative work, this takes time away from doing the real job weather coding, or being dedicated to customer facing activities

I've been at Akamai for 5 years and recommend it without hesitation - the people are wonderful, the work is varied and interesting, and the benefits are great. An awesome place to learn and grow your career.

Cons

Very global company - which is a positive for me, but if you don't like making an oddly-timed meeting occasionally you might not like it

Akamai is a great place to work. Every voice is heard and inclusion is a top priority for the business. No voice goes unheard especially when it comes to innovation and moving the company forward. Benefits are good and work life balance is even better. I would recommend.

Cons

Sometimes you come in contact with lackluster middle management. You just need to know how to navigate around them and you’ll be fine.
