Great Company

Pros

As a senior female executive reporting directly to our CEO, I feel I am well placed to correct an earlier review. The truth is very simple: Akima’s senior leadership team (both male and female) expect and exhibit the utmost professional and ethical standards. Under the CEO’s leadership, we’ve had two record setting years of earnings and revenue growth. During the same period, the CEO personally led fund-raising efforts that provided over $100,000 for an Alaskan Trust that gives Alaskan natives financial support to earn collegiate degrees. I have the utmost respect for the CEO and all of our employees, and would encourage anyone looking for a great career in a stable and growing company to apply for a position with Akima.

Cons

Rapidly growing company with great stability. Sometimes not enough hours in the day to get everything done.

Pros

They pay on time and have automatic flushing toilets.

Cons

There is a constant feeling you are going to be fired. There is no personal interaction with co workers. Always being told that we need to make numbers. Not supportive environment in any form.

Talent Galore, Terrible Leadership

Pros

Certain teams are well knit and function well

Cons

Terrible Sr. Management, specifically at the Director level. They will lie to you and terminate your employment if you do not fall in line with covering their tracks. Witnessed an employee be asked to clean up the work of another employee, in a different business group, and was terminated when they asked follow-up questions.
