Pros

The experience you will get in this level 1 trauma center is invaluable. The patients are challenging but the work is rewarding.

Cons

Staffing is short. Equipment is hard to come by when needed. Management is inconsistent and largely incompetent. AHS seems incapable of recruiting or keeping good managers. The managers they do recruit operate on the basis of fear and intimidation. Administration seems just fine with that model of operation.

Coworkers have become more like friends and family.

Cons

I’ve been a LVN for over 10 years. I’ve only received a raise twice after being employed with AHS almost 5 years. A total of $3 overtime since 2017.
