      An Overall Rewarding Experience at an Urban Medical Facility

      Pros

      This is a good place to get experience. The patient population is challenging and resources are limited. It was very rewarding to meet and work with persons from across the globe and from all walks of life. Historically the ACMC has positioned itself to treat and care for the indigent and for those with out the ability to pay; thus for persons that by principle believe healthcare is a right and not a privilege they can feel rewarded and purposeful in helping society's most vulnerable.

      Cons

      Entrenched bureaucracy, unmotivated and less than qualified persons working in management. Lack of vision that is tenable by persons in leadership positions.

      Pros

      Good experience, trauma center is a plus, lots going on in the ER. Large hospital with plans on expanding in the future.

      Cons

      Lots of drama. Poor management, sometimes you every have to watch out for your own coworkers. Management is terrible especially in the respiratory department

      It is easily accessible with public transportation and their own shuttle service. The employees there are great to work with.

      Cons

      Working with management is very challenging. Some of their policies should be reviewed.
