During covid Albertsons was a good place to work, we were helping people, funded, a lot of growth, and stable employment.

Cons

A lot of changes, heay-handed micro managers, executive team is disorganized and not focused and it results in rework and a lot of toxic behaviors. They promote bad managers and executives that are more focused on themselves over people, teams and customers. Constant reorgs and confusion on project priority and ownership. Agile and technology solutions are not advanced. Albertsons is trying to be an innovative technology company without the pay, process, and foundation. They are a late blooming retailer that is not winning in digital and that's to blame on leadership disorganization. Part of my time there was good & had a lot of great people. But with the new executive team it was a toxic, disorganized mess that I would not recommend anyone stepping into.

Hardworking coworkers really driving for high quality results.

Cons

Leadership creates a chaotic, unfocused environment due to quick reactions. The teams try to keep a long term goal while satisfying irrational demands. So many mini emergencies being spun off. Projects get dumped on your desk without regard to strengths, experience or workload.

The people! The pay! The work/life balance!

Cons

New leadership is changing the culture to a fast-paced, all work/no play environment. At the corporate level, which is what my experience and this review is based on, the workplace has changed over the last year from friendly and family-oriented into a cut throat, burn people out then replace them with the next type A person type of atmosphere. My first manager was wonderful - supportive, a team player, and a good listener. My most recent manager was the opposite - she threw me under the bus to climb the ladder and was completely unsupportive during my tenure with her.
