Pros

-Innovative Technology in our sales bag with continued investment in R&D -Awesome Manager in my District (this definitely helps) -Great quarterly bonus structure -Benefits are okay

Cons

-Premium products result in premium prices, which make it challenging to play in the same arena with competitors who low-ball pricing. -A lot more competitive product with minimal quota relief on our end, expectation is primarily double-digit growth -Marketing is so disconnected from field sales and deliver programs that our customers are truly not interested in because the focus when these are developed is primarily on what Alcon wants to accomplish. They don't take the time to assess what the customer or the industry needs, we have committees that include Field Sales, so we feel like we are providing input, but really the decisions have already been made by the time we hear about them. -Those that are promoted are cherry-picked any many times are not fit for the roles they are selected for.

Pros

Full pipeline with innovations that address the needs of millions of patients. Their mission of restoring and preserving vision is at the heart of everything they do. Leadership changes are going in the right direction and the compensation is very competitive.

Cons

Too lean which detracts from their desire to have work life balance.

Pros

Good 401k and health benefits, do not know if they have change the plans since I left the company years ago.

Cons

18 years as an employer and the last 1 to 2 year out of the 18 years, Novartis bought the private company few years ago when we became public in the stock market. Everything is a mess right now. the New company rights and all the new programs in the system has basically ruin what we once use to be the best eye care pharmaceuticals distribution center. I resigned for health reasons that the company did not have a job position that I could do. It is sad, my former manager recently retired due to this horrible mess and was told he was either going to get fire or take in the retirement. He has I think worked with Alcon more then 35 years.
