Plenty of vacation time, but may be hard to schedule Ability to work from home Good health benefits, but very expensive Decent 401(k) plan and match

Alight doesn't contribute to HSA plan Pay is average to below average. They do market calibrations to make it stay that way. No recognition except for client/customer facing people and execs Workday starts at 7:00am since IT staff is outsourced to an Indian company IT tools are mostly open-source/shareware software. Company will not invest in employees. It's all about cost reduction. No formal in house or external job training available. Just a few generic CBTs. Indiscriminate layoffs. Easy to get pigeon holed into a specific role. Old computer equipment due to budget restrictions. Micro managed. Every spreadsheet, email, program, website, etc run on your pc is openly logged and provided to management.

Pros

-Decent PTO amount -Company Culture & coworkers are chill -Great work from home options (depends on manager)

Cons

-Yearly layoffs are expected when sales don't meet the expectation. -Alight loves using offshore resources even though they're not always as effective as our US colleagues. -Annual raises meet the bare minimum. 2% if you over preform in your role and if the company is doing well. If one of these are missing you could expect less. -Super busy during annual enrollment season. -Old propriety system,so lots of transitions into new systems. -Not a lot of technical skills are transferable to other companies.

Pros

Great team and immediate manager(s). Decent PTO , pay and nice location.

Cons

Job description was deceiving. It was more of a call center enviroisnment with a lot of micro managing, which was not very cohesive to work/life balance. Some senior leadership quashed opportunities when trying to advance or apply for positions in other departments. Employees were moved around a lot to different teams and things were constantly changing. Change is good, but not when it is unorganized and there is not a clear path as to where the change was leading. Multiple platforms, some of which were very outdated and made it difficult to perform job duties effectively. Senior leadership made claims of transparency, but it was not really reflected in their actions most of the time.
