Company in Disarray

Pros

Being able to work virtual.

Cons

High Turn over. Don't follow their core values (mainly Be Real, yes that is one of their core values). RIF's have been happening on a regular basis since AON sold company to Blackstone and re-branded company as Alight. When asked about RIF's management dances around the subject. Calls colleagues in for what they think are annual reviews and instead let them go (nice raise). Company worried about bottom line looking good.

Pros

Can not think of any “pros” per se. The company holds zero allegiance to its employees. Maybe being able to work virtually?

Cons

Outsourcing division was purchased from Aon Hewitt earlier this year by the Blackstone Corporation. An initial round of cuts was made at the end of March, first of April. Everyone was told it would be the only cuts that were to be made. New structuring took place, new assignments, new managers and clients, etc. In May, they held another round of cuts based off a 5 question rating scale assigned to you by your previous manager. You had zero input. There was no review given and your current manager was not made aware of what was transpiring. Upper management boasts of an “open door policy” and of transparency...that’s not the case with this company. The raises were a joke. One every other year and at most, a 2% increase. No upward mobility to another role. When you hit the job market, you soon realize their “proprietary” software does not provide you with any significant experience you can parlay into another field. It’s meant for Aon Hewitt/Alight only. And they also tell you they will set you up for success through “team” members as well as a plan should you have any issues. This too is a joke. System analysts are so bogged down with work they are unable to mentor or teach anyone and your “manager” more times than not would be irritated if you disturb them during a phone call or while seeking help. All learning experiences are typically taught via webinars or through their “online” courses. Managers covering other manager’s backsides because they were previously roommates. Not to mention they directly reported to someone who was also a former roommate. Think about that...2 managers (former roommates) and their superior (also their former roommate) assigned the same set of people. If you had any issues with one, exactly who do you turn to? Could this not be considered a conflict of interest? I had extremely high expectations for this company in the beginning. 7 years later, had I known then what I know now, I would not have accepted the job.

Pros

none , very very bad job

Cons

This is the worst job experience I have ever had with any company in terms of Treatment and basic human rights because they treat people like robots. The experience goes beyond a normal 9 to 5pm job. There will never be a worse experience than this place they really have no idea how to treat workers like human beings here. We are placed on calls , if management does not like you , you will be poorly treated they will give you back to back calls, the work is unbareable and impossible and never ending.. You will noticed some of the brown noser in here dont get any calls coming through their line but some people get all the calls and are in the same department so something is really wrong here with treatment. They blame their employees for their failing technology and the customers are always upset and angry. 9/10 all the coworkers in here are extremely unpleasant people to work with, they have a very cutthroat nature in here and it is extremely competitive. By the end of the day you wont want to talk or be near people. This job will give you no satisification or self accomplishment as they tend to take their best and brightest and burn them out when they elevate them. I went from a regular CSR to OFS11 and when they gave me the position they made sure they burned me out by making my everyday work experience terrible. The work is never ending.. and i really mean that you will always have to do countless callbacks. They do not delegate work properly and there is extreme favoritism and mistreatment here, The surveyors at this place are just as bad, they will call your line pretending to be an account holder and make your life more difficult than a regular customer and believe me you will beable to tell the difference between the calls. I worked in the YSA department and it has been a real nigthmare,. I come from professional Medical Claims backround and I honestly cant wait to leave here and never have to look back.
