Pros

Some intersting projects (not all) as a developer, plus they also involve you in "internal practices" to help colleagues and improve yourself. Also, competitive salaries, in my opinion.

Cons

Company is growing its developer teams quite fast, it creates distances between managers and developer, despite the fact they keep trying to stay close. Sometime hard to communicate.

Pros

Low pressure work for and good work-life balance

Cons

Most of the work you are doing barely makes an impact and you will feel unmotivated. Also be prepared to be micromanaged.

Pros

- A lot of fantastic and very knowledgeable people work there that I had the pleasure to call my colleagues - Very diverse culture-wise - Various additional benefits, such as stock sharing, opportunity to get various professional certifications, RRSP contribution - I learned a lot, even I most of it was not related to technical knowledge - Actively seek out talent outside internationally, which positively contributes to the above-mentioned cultural diversity - A lot of resources made openly available to employees related to professional development, as well as mental health awareness and maintenance.

Cons

- Management does not take employees' opinion on the project prior to sending said employees on a project, while promoting the idea that at Alithya, you will be sent to a project that aligns with your career interests - The worst medical benefits I've ever had while somehow simultaneously having a very expensive monthly deductible - Potential paradigm of initially sending a team of employees that do not have the ideal knowledge/experience a project requires, with a goal to have them fail and then lay them off - Multiple intercompany departments, acting as almost a sovereign entity of their own, create difficulties in knowing who one must address for specific questions - Tendency to save on budget in order to maximize company profits by sending fewer people on a project and forcing them to work multiple roles simultaneously while not having any experience in one of the roles assigned to them; One an employee in question does not reach a satisfactory level of performance, said employee is replaced by multiple other employees who each have only one role within a team, creating an impression that all of a sudden they in fact had the budget for it. - Very low compensation relative to a respective role compared to other employers. - No actual selection in regard to which project you will be placed on; You are never given even two options to choose from, despite what the company promises. - Despite an abundant amount of resources, most of said resources are left up to the employee to find out on their own, resulting in a prolonged disconnect between what is actually available
