Pros

It's amazing to work at a well-funded nonprofit organization filled with smart, passionate people who want to contribute to the greater good. Leadership, positive energy, work flexibility, and employee support have only improved in my 5 years here. Great mission and benefits, and supportive of working parents/caregivers.

Cons

I have a great manager and have been happy with my career development/advancement during my time here, but I know not 100% of our employees would say the same for themselves. Pay will generally be less than you would make in tech, but higher than academia with more job security and a more supportive environment than either of those spaces.
