Pros

-Good Benefits (401k, Healthcare, and Generous Time off) -Opportunities to shadow other teams to pad your resume (Open Science is a big part of the Institute) -Great place to get some experience before going on to grad school -Good stepping stone to network and get experience working in a scientific environment outside of academia

Cons

-Openly Homophobic employees ranging from management level to Research Associates that face zero consequences -Research Associates are treated less like people and more as a resource to be exploited till they burn out -PPE and Safety are not high priorities, the most dangerous/hazardous jobs are given to RA's with minimal safety training -Advancement beyond the Research Associate II position is near impossible and depends on if your manager likes you more than your abilities/contributions -High burn out and low pay compared to similar jobs at other non-profits
