      Pros

      Good medical and unlimited overtime.

      Cons

      Very unsafe place to work. Management gives no support. If certain people don't like you you get in trouble for no reasons. People getting promotions based on personal relationships and friendships. Not based on work performance. Whistleblower policy does not exist at all.

      I love working with the kids and knowing that I'm making a different in someone life. The employee and staff are great to work with.

      Sometime you work a lot of hours and might not get a appreciate or a Thank you.

      Nice Campus and Good Mission

      Pros

      Allendale is located on 100+ acres in Lake Villa, IL. Their overall mission is a great one that helps kids and you get a part in that. There are a lot of nice people who work here and really do care about the kids they serve.

      Cons

      If you work her in a support services capacity, outside of direct care and education, then there may not be many opportunities for advancement within the organization. There can seem like a lot of red tape.
