Pros

Everyone will say that the people are the best part of working here. It's true. Smart people and many have an "open door" policy and will gladly chat with you. I've added an extra star for the people alone. Benefits package is excellent too. Kinda compensates for the salary, which is below industry average.

Cons

The training process is not effective for all. If you're neurodivergent, have sensitive health issues, and/or demanding family obligations, truly do your research on the company to confirm it's the right fit. Leverage LinkedIn and talk to current and former employees and weigh your options before accepting a job offer. If this is your first job out of college, know that work/life balance doesn't exist in this industry. It's gonna be stressful. But it's not worth sacrificing your health and personal life. You will pay with compounding interest.

Pros

At root the company has integrity and is as transparent and honest as possible to its stakeholders. As a medium-sized company, it is not as bound to process and bureaucracy.

Cons

Senior management has shown a general lack of reflection about three major changes that the company has gone through - the move of the Global HQ to Nashville TN, the rise in demand for remote work, the overall change in attitude toward working that related to the global pandemic. This lack of leadership, combined with a top-down, almost authoritarian management practice places a damper on innovation and enthusiasm among line-level employees and middle level management. There is a growing reluctance to admit failure or mistakes. And a growing tendency to willfully ignore risks. Identifying problems is more likely to be judged as a failure to have a "positive attitude", rather than encouraged as a way to limit cost or damage.
