Extremely long hours…and even that might be an understatement. Though they might emphasize work/life balance during the interview process, it all goes out of the window once you start in the role. Though it somewhat depends on which office you work out of, Bernstein employees can definitely work much longer hours than employees at competing firms. The people are nice and you will learn a lot, but you will also be in a grueling position that causes you to miss out on life because you’re working investment banking hours. This problem leads to high turnover overall. Once this is addressed, it should make for a much more pleasurable experience.
