      Pros

      Fair pay, superb staff, excellent resources, professional manager who is approachable, intelligent, and compassionate. When shift ends there is always a capable experience person to take my place.

      Cons

      Orientation involved driving into the city to this huge building with a group of 90 nurses it was very difficult to learn anything adequately with such a large group.

      Company has good benefits and many locations. Plenty of places in company to transfer to. Pay seems higher than some other healthcare companies in the area.

      Productivity demands can be unrealistic. Many departments really need more people to do their workload.

      Gain lots of experience as a CNA

      Cons

      Most Allina Hospitals switched to a grid system, so there will only ever be two or three more aids for an almost 50 bed floor. Things fall through the cracks simply because there isn't enough aides. They also cut back on nurses, so there isn't enough people on the floor period who can help and answer call lights.
