Pros
1. Small, but highly capable engineering team. Everyone is very smart.
2. Really interesting and hard technical problems (forecasting, graphs, trees)
3. Lots of responsibility and ownership, even for younger engineers.
4. Great product focus. You always feel like what you're doing is important.
5. Very open and honest communication throughout the company regarding product, financials, and overall strategy. Upper management is always open to feedback/questions and is super transparent.
6. Amazing work-life balance, which is often not true of startups. Everyone is treated really well and with a lot of respect. There's a real sense of community and friendship here, which is very rare to come by.
7. Competitive compensation, given the location and size.
Cons
Haven't yet reached full unicorn levels of rocket-ship growth, but I have faith that it will soon come with product expansion. Growth and financials are still extremely positive and healthy -- no concerns about the long-term outlook of the company.
