Pros

AlphaSights has a new program for associates and managers of a certain tenure and will help sponsor/pay part of the MBA tuition without the requirement of returning to AlphaSights. As a manager who qualified based on my tenure and MBA program, I'm now receiving $70k towards my MBA tuition. This is an incredible help given that the MBA program is quite expensive and the setup process is very straightforward. I'm very confident that my AlphaSights experience has set me up for success in both being admitted to a top 10 MBA program, but also at business school. AlphaSights in general invests heavily in its talent and has always had a very tailored and feedback-forward culture. This is a great place to begin your journey as an entry-level business professional because you not only get the mentorship and support to succeed at AlphaSights, but you also are pushed to be proactive and solve problems on your team. You develop all the transferrable business acumen (negotiation, time management, prioritization, communication, organization) that are critical to any job and are the foundation of your business skill set.

Cons

The workflow of new projects/work can be inconsistent and there are in-business-unit variations that can vary the experience of an Associate both from a project level and a cultural level.

Pros

Fair compensation, nice offices, very organized in terms of onboarding, team structure, etc.

Cons

The job is marketed and discussed in the interview process like a mix of sales and market research, but it's just sales. Best set up for a future career in sales or customer success. If you want a market research oriented role, you will need to think carefully about how to sell your experience. No resources for employees experiencing burnout, you're micromanged to the nth degree, and expected to be online at all times which is a tough combination. Did many 8-8 days where the rest of my team left at 6, and one time received advice from a manager that I should take on more work during a burnout phase so I didn't "sell myself short". Your colleagues are generally great people as well, so it's more about the culture of the firm than the people that are there.

Pros

Decent wages if you really apply yourself (11+ hrs per day)

Cons

Extreme micromanagement, inexperienced managers, unpredictable workflow, unfair project allocation, not attractive to future employers, manual emailing processes that take 2+ hrs every day and are unacceptable given the number of solutions available in the market, weekly hour long performance reviews regardless of current performance that eat up valuable time and are extremely redundant, the list goes on
